The SPSS software is currently available as a download. At this time, there are no student licenses available through Texas A&M.

#PURCHASING AN SPSS CODE LICENSE#

The license described on this page is for departments only. Due to international licensing issues, the Qatar campus is not eligible for the SPSS license through the Software Center. Non-College Station campuses need to contact the Software Center to determine if their location is eligible for purchasing the software through our department. The Stand Alone licenses are for a specific machine, and may not be shared (so if you have a lab with 40 computers and purchased 10 Stand Alone licenses, you would have to pick which 10 has SPSS installed on them, and only those 10 could run SPSS) Restrictions

#PURCHASING AN SPSS CODE ISO#

Only English versions of the software will be deployed on University owned computers.Īt no time will IITS (or any University IT staff) distribute SPSS software in any format (CD, DVD, ISO image, etc.).Īny purchase request for software products COVERED by the SPSS Educational site license WILL NOT BE AUTHORIZED by the University’s Purchasing Services Department.Īny purchase request for products NOT COVERED by the SPSS Educational site license MUST BE APPROVED, as part of standard purchasing procedures, by the University’s Purchasing Services Department.Īdditional information regarding SPSS can be found at: The SPSS Network licenses can be shared among multiple computers (so if you had a lab with 40 computers and purchased 10 Network licenses, any 10 of those 40 comptuters could be running SPSS at a given moment). Only SPSS software and available add-ons, if any, are covered by this site license. #PURCHASING AN SPSS CODE TRIAL#

Students and faculty can no longer use the SPSS Statistics trial to download the software. The University’s active students and faculty may use SPSS and Amos at home on computers that are owned or leased by the students or faculty (“Home Use”). Any other use including but not limited to university administration and operations is strictly prohibited under the terms of this agreement. *Non-commercial academic research means research by degree seeking students and faculty members where (i) the results of such research are not intended primarily for the benefit of a third party (ii) such results are made available to anyone without restriction on use, copying or further distribution and (iii) any copy of any such result is furnished for no more than the cost of hosting, reproduction, and shipping. The licensed software can be installed on any computer owned or leased by the University at no cost, for use for University instruction, and non-commercial academic research*.
